About Patrina

 

 

A former newspaper reporter, Patrina M Wright is a mother, licensed minister, author, motivational speaker and certified temperament counselor who has a passion for God and compassion for people.

 

 

As a counselor Patrina specializes in working with women to help them experience God's healing and recovery plan for their lives. She helps women recover from childhood wounds, depression, guilt, shame and low self-esteem, which are oftentimes a direct result of a traumatic childhood experience, i.e. sexual, physical or mental abuse, molestation, rape, incest, domestic abuse, parental rejection and abandoment.

 

 

She helps hurting women and survivors release their spiritual, emotional and physical pain to God so they can achieve true the freedom of becoming the woman she was destined to be. "It's never too late to begin again. I am committed to renewing hope, restoring identities and helping you reclaim your power to fulfill your destiny".

 

 

Not only is Patrina is a abuse prevention educator who teaches young children and adolescents how to avoid abduction, sexual abuse and the snares of online predators. She is also a member of the Women of Color Network (WOCN), a national grassroots initiative responding to violence against women and families in communties of color.

 

 

An an author and speaker Patrina is available for speaking engagements at churches, colleges, women's retreats and conferences. Her forthcoming book, "The Exodus: Breaking Cycles and Changing Lives" scheduled to be released in 2010 reveals biblical principles to help survivors reposition their souls to thrive after domestic violence.

 

 

As a Bible teacher Patrina uses an analytical style to dissect complex biblical principles along with her experiences and encounters with the truth of God's Word. She has a passion for proclaming theWord of God and encouraging hearers to apply it to their lives.

 

 

Continuing with her quest for excellence Patrina earned degrees in public policy and counseling and is completing her M.A. degree and looks forward to obtaining her PhD. As a community leader in Columbus County she has served as chaplain and advisory board for the Columbus County Teen Court Program and currently serves as a Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Council Member for Columbus County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention program.
